Approximately 3 months ago we made a "tree change" and packed up our family and businesses and moved to the North East Victorian town of Mansfield. There is always a bit of trepidation and uncertainty about any move and relocating from south east Melbourne to a country town was no exception.

Not long after arriving local hairdresser Davons Hair Room alerted us to the upcoming Mansfield Wedding Fair .  Held every second year the fair was a wonderful opportunity to get to know other vendors and be able to display our work to couples looking to be married in the region. A quick trip to Kim at Mansfield Party Hire had us signed up and eager to participate in the fair.

The Wedding Fair was held on Saturday 9th September, 2017 under a large marquee in the nature strip in the centre of Highett Street.  Upon arrival we were immediately welcomed by Kim and shown to our allocated area within the marquee.  It wasn't long before other vendors introduced themselves and welcomed us to the town.  Thank you so much everyone for your warm welcome.

It wasn't long before everyone was set up and we gathered in the centre of the marquee for a last minute pep talk by Megan from The Kitchen Door.  Megan is one of the hard working committee members who made the fair possible and turned out she was also our neighbour at the fair.  Didn't we have a great position - right next door to Megan and her wonderful selection of treats.  We were fortunate to sample a mini quiches and chocolate brownie which were delicious! This is Megan at her stand along with a photo of her chatting to MC Greg Evans.

Next to The Kitchen Door was Mavis and Lou Lou.  Mavis is a replica 1050's Vintage Caravan that has been transformed into a bar and adds a style and charm to any wedding or event. You can catch a glance of her just behind Greg Evans in the above photo and the photo below.

To our right was Amanda from Box Tree Farm which is a working farm on 130 acres in Merrijig.  The property boasts 360 degree views to Mt Buller, Timbertop and the high country valley making it a stunning venue for any wedding.

Of course there was me in between displaying some of my work including a large acrylic, bamboo floating infinity frame, album and prints.  Our Mansfield Wedding Fair competition was won by Rosie Heather who receives a FREE engagement photo session and photo book - congratulations! We can't wait for your session.

We also offered a Wedding Fair Special for any couple who books their full day wedding coverage with Sandra Lee Photography before 1st November, 2017 will receive a FREE 20" x 16" floating infinity frame (as displayed at the wedding fair) of their favourite image.

Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to meet everyone as we were busy chatting with couples but we did meet Civil Celebrant Mary Anne Egan , saw the wonderful floral displays by Edith and May who also did the floral display on our stand and cakes by Kat's Got Your Tongue.  There were so many other wonderful vendors and I'm particularly grateful to the other wedding photographers who came and welcomed me -  Gary from Boss Photography , Jamie from Jamie Kaye Photography , Sarah from Love Story Weddings and guy from Photo Opportunity.  I'm looking forward to being a part of this wonderful community.
